Navigating Alloy
An overview of the Alloy interface and what each section does
Use this page to find your way around Alloy and get to the right place fast.
Alloy's sidebar gives you quick access to every part of the platform. Here's a brief overview. Click through to each page for details.
- Search: A unified search at the top of the sidebar (also Ctrl+K, or ⌘K on Mac). Find missions, reports, scenarios, and chats from anywhere, or hand your question to the agent.
- Home: Your starting point. Chat with the agent, see your team's recent activity, and reopen recent chats, which are listed under Home in the sidebar.
- Missions: Your data library. Browse, filter, sort, and upload mission data.
- Reports: View, create, and automate reports written by the agent.
- Scenarios: Describe a pattern once, and Alloy checks your past and new missions for it.
- Mesh Storage: If your organisation also has Mesh Storage: Data (your files), Devices (Alloy Edge devices), and Workbench (SQL). The group is called Mesh in the new design.
At the bottom of the sidebar, click your organisation name to open the organisation menu, then choose Manage. In the new design, the organisation name is at the top of the sidebar and the menu item is Settings. Organisation settings has tabs such as Organization, Integrations, Scripts library, Missions and Notifications, where you choose which emails you get.
On every page except Home and Mesh Storage, the agent chat panel is available on the right edge of the screen. Home has the chat built in. Click Alloy AI on the right edge to open it (in the new design, click the chat icon). The panel is titled Agent. It knows what page you're on and can reference the data you're viewing.
