NAS and file shares

Upload runs from a file share with Alloy Edge. Alloy Edge, on a machine that reads your network share, uploads each finished recording.

Each finished recording on your network share uploads to Mesh Storage with Alloy Edge. With the Agent Platform, each MCAP recording becomes a mission the agent can investigate.

Setup: you install Alloy Edge on a machine that can read the share.

What to use it for

  • Ask about a run without copying files from the NAS to a laptop.
  • Compare a new flight with an earlier one, with replay links.
  • Reuse old test runs in your answers.

Example

Fictional example.

Ask: "Did today's flight show the same yaw oscillation in hover as Tuesday's?"

Agent: Yes, at 4.2 Hz on both flights. On both, it starts after the same gain change in the parameter log. [Replay links at both moments]

How to use it

  • A person installs Alloy Edge on a machine that can already read the share, and links the folder.
  • The NAS stays where your team saves data. Alloy Edge watches the folder and uploads each recording when it is finished.
  • Set the cleanup limits before you start Alloy Edge. On a NAS, the files it can delete are your originals.
  • For ROS 1 bags or flight-controller logs, sync the share to a bucket and connect the bucket.
