Answer field questions in the support thread
Ask about a robot in the Slack thread. Mention @Alloy, and the agent checks your robot data and connected tools, then replies with what happened, the evidence and a next step.
Setup: Alloy switches Slack on with you. Then you connect it in a few clicks.
What to use it for
- Answer field questions in the support thread, without waiting for an engineer.
- Find the moment a robot failed, and check if it happened before.
- Take the first pass on each new post in a support channel.
- Send report notifications and scenario alerts to a channel you choose.
Example
Fictional example.
Ask: "DLV-31 sat outside lift B for two minutes twice this morning, then went back to base. What happened, and have we seen this before?"
Agent: Both times the robot called the lift, the lift gateway did not answer, and the robot gave up after its 120-second limit. DLV-27 had the same failure at lift B three weeks ago. That Jira issue closed as the gateway dropping calls after a network change. Next step: check the gateway's last restart, as your Confluence guide says. [Both missions linked]
How to use it
- You connect Slack in Alloy, under Integrations, after Alloy switches Slack on with you.
- Invite the bot to a channel: type
/invite @Alloyin the channel. - Mention @Alloy in a thread, or send the bot a direct message.
- Select Open Alloy on a reply to continue in the app.
